Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, criticized German Chancellor Merz for backing Israeli and US strikes on Iran and warned of a devastating response to anyone who dares harm the Iranian people, according to Mehr News.

In a post on his X account late on Friday, Araghchi wrote that Merz hailed the Israeli and US bombings of Iran when they began last year.
