The Central African Republic (CAR) Army and Russian military specialists thwarted a large-scale operation by a coalition of armed groups in the Nabagai-Tissi area of Vakaga on October 10, according to TASS.

The opposing force numbered about 1,300 fighters and had planned an offensive against Vakaga and Bamingui-Bangoran for the second half of October; more than 60 militants were neutralized and Western-made weaponry was seized, the agency added.
