Houthi armed forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Saudi warplanes carried out 53 air raids across Yemen in 24 hours, targeting civilian sites in the capital, Sanaa, and the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Lahj, Saada and Amran, according to Xinhua.

Saree said the cumulative number of Saudi airstrikes and missile attacks since the escalation began had reached 2,542, according to the Palestine Chronicle.
