A localized truce in the devastated city of Oleshky, in southern Ukraine, held for its first 30 hours without violations, Russia’s ombudsperson Yana Lantratova and Ukraine’s human rights ombudsperson Dmytro Lubinets said on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press (AP), in a text republished by The Hill.
The truce began on Tuesday and is due to last through Sunday, in a humanitarian operation racing to get about 2,000 remaining residents food and medicine and to evacuate those who want to leave.
