Israel informed the United Nations (UN) and the Egyptian committee on Monday evening that it is imposing a “complete and comprehensive” closure of the Rafah crossing, blocking humanitarian aid, commercial shipments, food, fuel and cooking gas entering Gaza through the Egyptian route, according to Drop Site News.
The route handles 50 to 60 trucks a day, and fuel and gas come entirely through it, according to the outlet. The October 2025 ceasefire agreement calls for 600 aid trucks a day in Gaza, but Israel had been allowing an average of around 200.
