A man was detained in Tel Aviv on Tuesday on suspicion of stabbing the Democrats' Chairman Yair Golan during a campaign tour to encourage voter turnout at HaMesila Park, according to the Jerusalem Post.
At the man's “threatening approach,” Golan's security detail intercepted him and a large knife fell to the ground from inside his jacket. The man was arrested after approaching the center-left party leader with a knife, according to the Middle East Eye.
