The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) warns that the current El Niño event could be unprecedented in strength, off the monitoring tables of the past four decades, according to The Hindu.
El Niño is firmly established and will intensify into a very strong event in the coming months, persisting almost certainly until February 2027, according to the WMO.
