India’s largest state-owned refiner, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), will slightly reduce the volumes of Middle East crude it will buy under annual term deals for fiscal year 2027/2028, which starts next March, amid uncertainty of supply from the region, according to OilPrice, which cites an anonymous source who spoke to Reuters.

India paid $15.4 billion to import crude oil in September, up 46% from $10.5 billion a year earlier, as international prices and the Indian import basket soared amid reignited tensions in the Middle East, according to OilPrice.
