Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said it instructed security forces to immediately cordon off Hebron and prepare a full closure of the West Bank starting Friday, according to the Associated Press (AP).

The order came a few hours after an attack near Hebron that injured at least five people, some critically, the agency reported. Netanyahu blamed Hamas, saying the group was “planning a major attack aimed at murdering innocent civilians.”
