Nearly 48 million Americans have already cast early ballots in the US midterm elections, a strong turnout across several battleground states, according to G1.

The University of Florida Election Lab counted 47,922,669 early votes nationwide by midday last Friday, a figure above the previous record of 45.9 million set before the 2022 vote.
