A federal judge barred the Trump administration on Friday night from threatening or intimidating election officials ahead of next week's midterm elections, NBC News reported.

The eight-page order by US District Judge Trina Thompson, based in California, prohibits actions that threaten, intimidate or coerce state or local election officials and workers into halting the processing of ballots from registered voters the administration alleges are ineligible, and runs through November 16.
