A Russian delegation will travel to Abu Dhabi on November 10-11 for trilateral talks with Ukraine and the United States (US), Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed: “Yes, I can confirm that date.” Negotiator Vladimir Medinsky will again lead the delegation, as in the previous round, interrupted after the conflict between Iran, on one side, and the US and Israel, on the other.
It will be the first trilateral meeting since February. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said he had seen no sign that Russia wanted to negotiate seriously: “I have not seen any sign of that so far.” Merz also promised more aid and help with energy supplies for Ukraine going into winter and said Russia risked further escalation and a global food crisis through attacks in the Black Sea, according to Reuters, in a text republished by StreetInsider. Zelensky defended a ceasefire in the Black Sea, where attacks have intensified in recent months.
