US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Thursday about the seizure of hundreds of kilograms of explosives from Hezbollah, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Rubio urged Aoun to hold accountable those who ordered, financed and directed the shipment and said that returning the explosives to Hezbollah “is out of the question.” Aoun asked Rubio to press Israel to halt attacks on southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Presidency in a statement on X cited by Middle East Eye.
