US President Donald Trump denied limiting Ukraine’s access to Starshield, Starlink’s sister internet network, after it restricted drone speed, according to the BBC.

The EU’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, said Europe cannot replace Starlink in the short term. The EU wants to fully include Ukraine in GOVSATCOM, the bloc’s programme for pooling satellite communications capacity; Europe’s own network, IRIS2, has launches planned for 2029 and full operations targeted for 2030, according to TRT World.
