Yashar, the party of Gadi Eisenkot, said on Sunday it had asked Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara and Central Elections Committee chairman Noam Sohlberg to stop a meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called with Police Commissioner Danny Levy on election integrity, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Also on Sunday, the Shin Bet domestic intelligence service will begin providing protection for three opposition party leaders: Eisenkot, of Yashar; Yair Golan, of the Democrats; and Ofer Winter, of People of Israel, the Times of Israel reported. The newspaper said Eisenkot's party has led most recent opinion polls ahead of the vote.
