The Saudi-led coalition said on Tuesday it had intercepted three drones targeting Saudi territory, one of them over the western Mecca region.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said the group launched two attacks in the Asir region, targeting Abha International Airport with a drone and King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait with a ballistic missile. Two other drones, one in the Eastern Province and another heading toward the southern region, were intercepted and destroyed, according to coalition spokesman Turki Al-Maliki. The casualty and damage figures in the Houthi claims could not be independently verified.
