Poland's president, Karol Nawrocki, cut short a trip to Senegal and returned to Warsaw after the Constitutional Tribunal said on its website that the tribunal's president had been suspended, and joined protesters facing off with police outside the court.
The tribunal said its longest-serving judge, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, suspended the tribunal's president, Bogdan Swieczkowski, and assumed charge of the court, according to the Hindustan Times.
