The traditional family photo opening the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting was canceled in the US after countries including Australia and the UK refused to appear beside Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, according to the Guardian.

About one-third of the countries signaled they would not appear beside Russian representatives, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio pulled the plug on the photo. “In no case will there be a family photo with European partners and Mr Lavrov together because there is no normality with Russia,” German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said.
