A letter from US Vice President JD Vance to the head of Iran’s National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, was sent in a bid to revive peace negotiations, according to Reuters, in an article published by CGTN, which cited the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

President Donald Trump told reporters the matter was “help with medical supplies and various things” and that Vance asked him what he thought, and he answered: “if you want to do that, that’s okay”.
