Detained in the United States since January 3, 2026, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro sent a message to the Venezuelan people on Sunday, November 1, asking for prayers.

“Pray for us and know that Cilia and I are with you every step of the way,” the text says, closing with embraces and blessings for families in Venezuela and elsewhere.
