The UK will provide additional defensive military support to Saudi Arabia given escalating Houthi attacks in the region, according to the UK Ministry of Defence.

Royal Air Force (RAF) Typhoon fighter jets will fly defensive counter air missions to support the protection of Saudi cities and critical national infrastructure against aerial attack, and the ministry says the warplanes will operate in a defensive role and will not be used to attack the Yemeni group, according to Al Jazeera.
