Residents of the Ain Deir Baha neighborhood in al-Khalil, in the occupied southern West Bank, had the area declared a closed military zone by Israeli forces during an offensive that reached its eighth day, according to Press TV.

The al-Khalil municipality said, according to the outlet, that 4,969 Palestinians from 780 families had been forcibly displaced. The Palestinian Information Center counts Saturday as the ninth consecutive day of the siege, with military reinforcements and detentions of young Palestinians.
