A delegation of 19 Democratic members of Congress will attend COP31 in Turkey, with an important diplomatic function, at a UN climate conference that runs from November 9 to 20 in Antalya, Representative Sean Casten said.

The United States is not taking part in the negotiations after Donald Trump withdrew the country from the Paris Agreement for a second time on returning to office. Casten said the delegation will not be in the majority, but will be received with an understanding of what just happened.
