The Nachala settlement group says it has formed a new community next to the border with the Gaza Strip, overlooking the ruins of Gaza City, according to the group in a text by The Times of Israel.

The action reportedly brought together over 700 people, including bereaved families, people injured in the war, rabbis and public figures, and the group demands that the government authorize the transfer of the community into the northern part of the Strip, where there were settlements until the 2005 evacuation.
