Yemen’s Houthis said they fired ballistic and cruise missiles and drones at Riyadh and at Aramco facilities in Yanbu, on the Red Sea coast, according to the group’s military spokesman, Yahya al-Sarea.

Saudi Arabia said it intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired at the capital, without confirming further strikes or casualties, according to the BBC, the Associated Press (AP) and Al Jazeera. AP notes it was the first time Riyadh has been targeted since the escalation with the Iran-backed Houthis opened a new front in the Iran war.
