Ed Sheeran’s shows at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, have been cancelled.

The promoter Messina Touring attributed the decision to severe weather warnings in Boston and across New England, in a statement cited by Middle East Eye. The venue’s billionaire owner Robert Kraft had threatened to cancel Sheeran’s stadium concerts if Macklemore, who was to open the tour, stayed, and lobbied other stadium owners, according to Middle East Eye. At the start of a concert at Lincoln Financial Field, Sheeran called Israel’s war on Gaza “catastrophic and unjustifiable and disproportionate”.
