The White House photo pool joined the television boycott on Monday, saying it would not publish or distribute images of President Donald Trump’s events until midnight, according to The Guardian and the BBC.

The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Associated Press described the move as part of a ‘collective effort’ in support of CNN, Politico and MS NOW, which were barred from the White House on Friday after Trump accused them of writing ‘fiction or lies’. The five networks that make up the TV pool — CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC and CBS — had already suspended coverage of pool-designated presidential events, and with no pool audio, viewers watched Trump deliver a speech in silence at the unveiling of the White House helipad. CNN, Politico and MS NOW sued the administration in federal court on Monday; Trump called the outlets ‘Third Rate Clowns’ and said his team would appeal ‘almost without question’.
