The United States and China will set up a bilateral communication channel for artificial intelligence (AI) incidents, the White House said on Friday, September 25, 2026.

The announcement is in the fact sheet of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Washington, which also established the U.S.-China Super Intelligence (SI) Dialogue, to exchange views on the risks and benefits of AI. The next meeting of the new dialogue will take place by November, according to the South China Morning Post.
