A plane travelling from Kikwit to Kinshasa crashed while trying to land in Kenge, in Kwango province, after a technical fault, according to Al Jazeera.

Everyone on board died — 12 bodies were burned beyond recognition and the pilot’s lifeless body was found outside the aircraft. Fourteen people died, including two senior military officials, according to The Hindu. An investigation has been opened into the cause of the accident.
