Yemen’s Houthis sent a letter to the European Union (EU) foreign policy arm saying they have no intention of targeting European vessels in the Red Sea, Middle East Eye reports, citing the Financial Times.

The letter followed the group’s capture of the port city of Mocha and the Yemeni side of the Bab al-Mandeb strait; the Houthis say their blockade applies only to Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s internationally recognized government, according to Middle East Eye.
