Iraq will suspend flights by Iranian airlines from dawn on Tuesday to comply with the US Treasury decision that shuts Iranian carriers out of international traffic on September 23, according to two Iraqi government sources heard by Agence France-Presse (AFP); one of them warned that countries that do not enforce the measure risk sanctions.

Georgia has also barred Iranian carriers, and Mahan Air suspended its services to Turkey at the request of the Turkish government. Iran Air says it will keep its route to Najaf, in Iraq, despite the measure.
