Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the United States and China to manage their superpower rivalry and keep artificial intelligence (AI) under human control, during his state visit to the White House in Washington on Thursday, September 24, 2026, according to AFP via The Standard.

Xi said both countries have the capability and the responsibility to develop and manage AI for good, ensuring it always remains under human control.
