Drone attacks forced the kingdom to shut the pipeline on September 13, 2026, halting crude loadings at Yanbu. Since oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz were disrupted, the pipeline had been rerouting around 4 million barrels per day to the port, roughly 4% of global supply, according to the agency.
