Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Kirill Dmitriev, President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy, is continuing contacts with U.S. negotiators focused on potential economic cooperation, TASS reports.

According to Peskov, such cooperation is “currently absent,” but there is an understanding it could be mutually beneficial and that discussions about the possibilities are under way, the agency reports.
