Syria’s Damascus and Aleppo international airports are now open for nighttime flights after Israel quietly lifted its block on the activation of navigation equipment, Middle East Eye reports, citing regional officials.

A regional official told the outlet that the Israeli government had threatened to shoot down the small aircraft carrying out the calibration flights.
