The Trump administration has made legally binding commitments to spend almost the entire $400 million package Congress approved for military aid to Ukraine, preventing the money from expiring on September 30, according to U.S. News.

By early this week, $307 million of the $400 million under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) had been obligated, and the remaining $93 million is to be locked in before the end of the fiscal year.
