United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the General Assembly’s high-level week, with the bilateral pencilled in for Thursday evening, UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said, adding that he was recalling the timing from memory.

Lavrov travels to New York on Tuesday and addresses the General Assembly on Saturday, 26 September. Dujarric said Guterres remains in regular contact with representatives of both Russia and Ukraine, and that he had no information on whether a trilateral meeting on the Ukraine war would take place during the week.
