Russia’s Central Election Commission said that, with 95% of ballots counted, United Russia took 57.83% of the party-list vote and is set to win around 355 of the State Duma’s 450 seats, according to The Moscow Times and Meduza.

Commission chief Ella Pamfilova said the result surpasses the party’s previous record of 343 seats in 2016 and preserves its constitutional supermajority, which requires 301. Turnout was close to 60%, the highest since 2003, according to Kommersant. The European Union dismissed the vote as “sham elections,” RFE/RL reports, and independent analysts described it as the least competitive in modern Russian history. The commission said final results will be released by Friday at the earliest.
