President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping wrapped up their Washington summit under criticism that they had squandered the opportunity to pause their countries’ artificial intelligence (AI) arms race, according to The Guardian. On Thursday, Xi acknowledged that the U.S. and China have the “responsibility to develop and manage AI for good” and to “ensure that the development of AI is always under human control”, the paper wrote.
