The ceasefire expired at midnight Moscow time (2100 GMT) and Ukraine pulled civilians out of parts of the region. The Institute for the Study of War assesses that the truce allowed up to 800 civilians to be evacuated and brought humanitarian aid to Oleshky and nearby settlements. Residents walked and shopped again at Tavriysky Market on the truce’s last day, November 1, 2026.

According to Ukraine, nine gliding bombs, some weighing 3,000 kg, hit the village as people had gathered to get humanitarian aid, and more than 30 people may still be under the rubble on the third day of searches; the Russian military has not publicly commented on the attack.

A ballistic missile hit Hayfan in Taiz governorate and killed four Yemenis from the same family, including three children, on Wednesday, according to Middle East Eye. Houthi-run al-Masirah TV blamed the killing of three children and a woman, with four other children wounded in the same district, on a Saudi airstrike.

On November 3, Yemeni Interior Minister Ibrahim Ali Haidan accused Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of sending military instructors to command Houthi combat operations, develop missile and drone programs and coordinate attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, according to TASS.

Hezbollah denied the allegations and said the Yemeni authorities' statements about support for the Houthi offensive, military training and rearmament are “completely baseless”, adding that “the Yemeni people have sufficient capabilities, resources, and experience to defend their country without external support.”

The attacks triggered power and water outages for hours across Kyiv and surrounding regions, and residents in the capital were urged to use public drinking water fountains before supplies were restored. Russia’s Ministry of Defense said it shot down 709 Ukrainian drones the previous night. Retailer Ozon said a drone attack caused a fire at its logistics center in Adygeysk, in Russia’s Adygea region, but that there were no casualties.

Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay,” he wrote. President Donald Trump said that the Iran operation had to be done and continues, that he spoke to Vance on Wednesday morning and called the vice president’s post “good.” About 6 in 10 voters said the US made the “wrong decision” in taking military action against Iran, according to The AP Voter Poll, a survey of more than 100,000 voters. Vance called an earlier recommendation to end the war “sound advice,” while US officials say restarting major combat operations against Iran remains under consideration.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said families who had recently returned to the district of Diabo, in northwestern Tigray, were forced to flee again because of renewed military activities. OCHA and humanitarian partners are preparing to scale up assistance, but insecurity is restricting movement along the roads connecting Gonder with Debark and Metema, in Amhara. Fighting in the country's north, in Tigray, Amhara and Afar, resumed in late September, nearly four years after the November 2022 Pretoria Agreement ended the two-year war between federal forces and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reported civilian deaths, including children and a newborn, in attacks in northern Ethiopia and said the region's health system is approaching collapse.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia’s overnight attacks damaged power generation facilities and substations in nine regions, leaving emergency outages in many cities. Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed on Telegram that it hit two power stations in Ukraine’s Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions and said it downed 709 Ukrainian drones across 14 regions, Crimea and the Black and Azov seas. In southern Russia, a Ukrainian drone attack started a fire at a distribution facility of Ozon, in the town of Adygeysk in the Republic of Adygea, regional head Murat Kumpilov said. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he hoped Trump would continue his peacemaking efforts after the Democratic victory and treated any changes in Congress as a domestic US matter: “President Trump continues to exercise his powers. We sincerely hope that he will also continue his peacemaking efforts.”

Saree urged international airlines, their employees and passengers to avoid Saudi airspace. Saudi authorities had not confirmed the attack or any damage. In the early hours of Wednesday, Saudi Civil Defense issued a warning about a potential hazard in the Riyadh region and later declared it over, and the Indian embassy announced the death of an Indian citizen wounded in the October 10 attack on the airport.

Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, head of the judiciary, said Trump “has suffered defeat both on the battlefield and in the political arena, and we will inflict further defeats on him,” and said November 4 had always been a day of defeat for the United States. Hamidreza Moqadamfar, an adviser to the commander of the Revolutionary Guard, said Iran’s response to any new aggression would be disproportionate and without geographic or time limits: “Our responses will no longer be proportionate or commensurate; we will set their assets ablaze—beyond the point of attack, and regardless of time or location.” The same adviser described the US election result as a referendum against Trump’s policies, in which Iran played a key role.

The president himself said so last night.” Vance cited a survey according to which the top four answers from voters who left the Republicans were ending the war, cost of living and inflation, putting America first and changing the relationship with Israel. He wrote that anyone who considers the war a cost worth paying should defend it openly, including losing the Senate for the next six years. Trump said that “Iran was a piece of it” and defended the decision to launch the conflict: “I don’t think about it. I did the right thing. I would do it again.” AFP described the move as an attempt by Vance to distance himself from the conflict ahead of a possible 2028 White House run.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Russian forces first dropped aerial bombs on the school building in Komyshuvakha as people arrived to collect aid, then struck the shelter with more bombs. Two members of a rescue crew and four police officers were among the dead, emergency services said. Russia’s Defense Ministry said the attack targeted Ukrainian military units in Komyshuvakha and two other settlements, and that up to 25 Ukrainian servicemen were killed.
